Kristin McCoy was born and raised in the Los Angeles area of sunny Southern California. Growing up, she immediately took to the arts – acting, dancing, singing. Working as a child performer was a great experience, meeting all sorts of people, and traveling to different fun places around the United States. Kristin’s father, John McCoy, has worked in the sound union for film and television since the 1950’s, so she was no stranger to the “lime light”.
After finishing High School, and completing two Associate degrees: Liberal Arts & American Sign Language Interpreting, she decided to go back to her roots of acting. This time she wanted to explore behind the camera of the production side too.
As well as acting, attending red carpets, charity events, dabbling in casting and on-set ASL consulting, Kristin loves to travel to far off lands. She enjoys trying different cuisine, gardening, spending time with her two cats, three fish, and interacting with family & friends in Ventura County, California.
Kristin is an American Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf. Although acting in Hollywood for Film & TV is still her main focus and passion with credits including “CSI” and “How I Met Your Mother,” her love for signing and the Deaf community is still an on-going part of her life. She will be our interpreter for “Play for the Pups.”
Speaking of pups… she’s an animal lover who tirelessly devotes herself to them too, involved with many related causes & taking care of her 2-cats, 1-bird, and 3-fish – All rescues!
